CUCKOO

Cuckoo woke me with a morning song,
From dreams that charmed me night long.
Feathered friend was on a singing spree,
Perched with a parrot on a tamarind tree.
To start the day with loads of smile,
Sipping tea with a pinch of spice,
Winked at cuckoo through the window grill.
Humming her song with a musical shrill.
Cuckoo sang with a memorable melody,
Parrot joined with her feathered symphony,
With a taunting question- who are you? Who are you?
Tell me, tell me, Who are you? Who are you ?
