Book Review 4 Hilawi

Finding themselves threatened, they seek the help of an ex army Major Vidyut who falls in love with Gargi and ensures they are safe.  The various schemes of Dr Ng and hiHILAWI, the name sounds Hindi.  I could not understand the meaning nor could I find it in any English dictionary. I was invited by the author of this book for the book release function at ‘Atta Galata’ in Bangalore.  .  I could not control my curiosity and asked the author. She told us ‘Jo hiladega wohi Hilawi’, a good one isn’t it?   It was interesting to listen from the author about this  idea of writing such a strange storyline. In any case, it was a relief from the usual ‘Tea, Coffee  IIM /IIT love stories’. The story and the plot is thick with suspense and action.

The first two chapters described the family and  as you reach the thirteenth page,  you are taken straight away into the thick plot.  The plots & sub plots are very thick with the unexpected happening every new chapter. The hills and its roads with the racing SUV adds onto the thrill of the adventure.

The book starts off well with the two twins Yaduvir & Gargi from the hills studying abroad; find themselves in the midst of unknown magical world of a disc which they inherit from their ancestors. After they tune to the resonant power of the disc, the antagonist from their own clan threatened their life and relatives who want to acquire the powers of this strange disc.
s friends could not succeed to get the disc. It is a good read for a change taking the reader into the world of magical powers of the disc ‘Hilawi’.
